The olivine stone (or peridot) is crystalline.
Found only on Pele's island, it is the source of the island's rare green sand
beach. The olive antiquing on the Pele sculpture has been perfectly matched to
this stone, which is known as "Pele's stone" and is often used in
healing ceremonies by Hawaiian kahunas. The sculpture is shown hanging against
a natural lava wall. Approximately 17 by 22 inches.
